Volunteer Work

2015, Logo Design for Non-Profit Organizations in My Community

In addition to my full-time job, I am involved in my community. I give back to the community in a variety of ways, including using my very particular set of skills, that include logo design, working with vendors, getting involved and making things happen.

"I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career."

The following are just the most recent design work I've done.

Logo Design for Macomb Balloon Rally (volunteer)

I was delighted to be part of this iconic annual event. I was asked to design a logo that looked like the golf classic Ryder cup. Three initial designs were submitted, with some tweaking, before the final logo was chosen to be used for booklets, ads, posters, tickets, parking passes, and even stitched on shirts.

Logo Design for Macomb Marching Band Trailer Decal (volunteer)

I love Macomb Marching Band. As an active member of the Band Boosters, when I learned that the band was getting a trailer to haul the larger instruments to marching band competitions, I jumped at the opportunity to brand the trailer with the high school logo.

After getting everything laid out we're looking at over 130+ sq ft of 3M Vehicle Wrap vinyl and laminate material.
I kept the large MHS could go down to 26" tall overall. That helped ultimately save vinyl and money.
